Mobile Medical Service

Along with rendering the best of services in the Hospital, the Home of Service has been serving the poor in the rural areas through its Mobile Unit since 1995.
The Mobile Dispensary operates on Sundays where 2 doctors, 4-5 paramedics under the able supervision of monastics go the village camp at Rampur in the district of Mirzapur, about 35 kms from the Home of Service. Despite operating the Health Education Department, Home of Service has not discontinued this service and the Health Education Department tries to cover other areas.

Special Eye Camps

Every year during January/February the Sevashrama conducts Free Eye Camps for the benefit of rural and poor patients. In these camps patients are examined for their eye problems and IOL Cataract Operations are done for around 300 people, free of cost.

Dairy

The Home of Service cow-shed has 60 cattle heads consisting of milking cows, heifers and calves at present. The average daily supply of 350 litres of milk for the admitted patients in the hospitals as well as the workers, inmates of the Home of Service and guests is obtained in-house from the cow-shed. Mechanized methods are used for milking and proper veterinary care is taken to keep away possibility of contamination. In house breeding through artificial insemination has maintained the purity of the breed and contributed in the milk yield.

Laundry

The Hospital has a laundry unit where linen is washed conforming to high hygiene standards. The unit is equipped with washing and drying machines.

Maintenance

In order to keep things running smoothly, there is a Maintenance Department which looks after all civil and mechanical requirements like repairing of the infrastructure and non-medical equipment.

Pharmacy

The pharmacy of the hospital has been set up to provide low cost medicines to patients.
